From Times Staff and Wire Reports
Yell Group, Britain’s top telephone directory publisher, may make a bid for San Diego-based TransWestern Publishing, the Sunday Times of London reported.
Without citing sources, the newspaper said executives from Yell were due to meet with Goldman Sachs, the investment bank appointed to sell TransWestern, an independent telephone directory publisher that is majority-owned by Boston-based private equity firm Thomas H. Lee. Yell is prepared to pay up to $1.31 billion, the newspaper reported.
