Spano’s insights provide balance
I thoroughly disagree with the criticism leveled against Susan Spano by Antonio San Marco [Letters, March 13].
Cultural observations are valid for the Travel section of a major newspaper, and The Times should be commended for maintaining such a perceptive correspondent in Europe. There are many other sources for standard travel fluff; we should be thankful to have her insightful columns to complement them.
