Re “South O.C. Community Has Rabbits in Its Sights,” March 25: We know we’re in trouble here when homeowners value their shrubbery more than the lives of innocent bunny rabbits. The fact that the Mission Viejo City Council has voted to enable the shooting of these adorable creatures because they dare to consume the food that they were meant to ingest is beyond belief. What happens if an angry property owner mistakenly shoots at someone’s dog or cat? What’s next? I vote to change the name of the city to Mission Estupido.
