The Defense Department last week also identified the following American military personnel killed in Afghanistan and Iraq:

Robert W. DeFazio, 21, of West Babylon, N.Y.; specialist, Army. Defazio died of noncombat-related injuries April 24 in Kandahar, Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 23rd Ordnance Company in Miesau, Germany.

Robert A. Guy, 26, of Willards, Md.; private first class, Marine Corps. Guy was killed April 21 in a nonhostile incident close to Al Karmah, Iraq, near Fallouja. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Allen C. Johnson, 31, of Los Molinos, Calif.; sergeant first class, Army. Johnson was killed Tuesday when his patrol was attacked with small-arms fire in Khanaqin, Afghanistan, southwest of Kabul. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group at Ft. Bragg, N.C.

Aaron A. Kent, 28, of Portland, Ore.; seaman, Navy. Kent was killed April 23 by an improvised explosive device during combat operations near Fallouja, Iraq. He was assigned to the 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward) at Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Timmy J. Millsap, 39, of Wichita, Kan.; first sergeant, Army. Millsap died Monday in Baghdad of injuries suffered when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle in Taji, Iraq, north of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 70th Engineer Battalion, 3rd Brigade, 1st Armored Division at Ft. Riley, Kan.

Kevin W. Prince, 22, of Plain City, Ohio; corporal, Army. Prince died April 23 in Baghdad of injuries suffered when an improvised explosive device detonated near his Humvee in Iskandariya, Iraq, south of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 2nd Squadron, 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment at Ft. Irwin, Calif.

David L. Rice, 22, of Sioux City, Iowa; specialist, Army. Rice died Tuesday in Balad, Iraq, of injuries suffered when his Humvee rolled over in Muqdadiya, Iraq, north of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 5th Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Infantry Division at Ft. Riley, Kan.

Gary W. Walters Jr., 31, of Victoria, Texas; specialist, Army. Walters was killed April 24 when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 9th Field Artillery Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division at Ft. Stewart, Ga.

Robert C. White III, 21, of Camden, N.J.; private, Army. White died of noncombat-related injuries April 23 at Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 864th Engineer Battalion, 555th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade (Provisional) at Ft. Lewis, Wash.
