President Hurt as Plane Goes Down Into the Sea

A small plane carrying Honduran President Ricardo Maduro went down in the Caribbean Sea near shore after its engine failed, and Maduro was hospitalized with minor injuries, the president’s spokesman said.
Jorge Barrios said the plane fell into the sea off the city of Tela. Maduro, 59, his daughter, Lorena, and the pilot were rescued by locals, Barrios said.
