3 Teens Get Life Terms for $500 Murder
From Times Wire Reports
Three teenagers were sentenced in Philadelphia to life in prison for killing a 16-year-old boy, who was lured to his death by a girl who promised him sex.
The girl, who was sentenced earlier to 17 1/2 to 35 years, led Jason Sweeney to a secluded spot, where the three boys attacked him with a hatchet, a hammer and rocks in May 2003. They stole $500 that Sweeney had earned doing construction work, and went on a drug binge.
