Killer Who Used Acid in Attack Is Executed

A man convicted of beating and stabbing an Oklahoma City motel clerk and pouring acid down his throat was put to death Thursday in McAlester.
George James Miller Jr., 37, received an injection of deadly chemicals at the Oklahoma State Penitentiary. He was found guilty of killing Kent Dodd, 25, during a 1994 robbery.
The conviction was based on circumstantial evidence. Miller had maintained his innocence. A final appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court was denied.
