Pastor Arrested in Child Sex Abuse Investigation

The pastor of what authorities called a “cult-like” church has been arrested in an investigation of possible sexual abuse of as many as two dozen children, from infants to teens.
The pastor’s wife, a sheriff’s deputy and five other church members were also arrested on sexual abuse charges this week, and all remained in custody without bond in Ponchatoula, northwest of New Orleans.
Animal abuse was also alleged. As many as a dozen adults may have been involved, the officials said.
