Slow Pace of Justice
Re “Suit Targets Curbs on Turban Wearing in Jail,” May 22: The issue of turban wearing aside, has no one noticed that there has been no resolution to Harpal Singh Cheema’s request for asylum for 12 years? He’s been incarcerated for at least eight years with no reported criminal action other than being an illegal alien while waiting for the Board of Immigration Appeals to decide his case.
Is our justice system really so slow and inept that we can allow this to happen to an individual?
