Herbalife Ltd., the nutritional supplements and weight management products firm, said its third-quarter profit more than doubled on a 25% increase in sales.
Net income rose to $27.1 million, or 37 cents a share, compared with $11.5 million, or 21 cents, a year earlier.
The Los Angeles-based company attributed part of its growth to new products and increased sales overseas.
Herbalife said it expected fourth-quarter earnings to be in the range of 39 cents to 41 cents a share, and its 2006 earnings to rise to $1.80 to $1.85 a share.
Herbalife’s stock fell 59 cents Monday to $30.
