Teenage Girl Released by Abductor
A 13-year-old girl on her way to school Monday morning was pulled into a van in La Palma by a man wearing a mask, then quickly released, police said.
The girl, who was walking alone on Parkwest Circle toward Walker Junior High School, told police the man may have released her after seeing a police car drive by at the moment he grabbed her, said La Palma Police Capt. Eric Nunez.
The man was described as 5 foot 9 with light to medium-brown skin and dark hair styled in cornrows. He was driving a dilapidated purple and gray van.
The girl was not physically hurt.
