From Times Staff and Wire Reports

The Board of Supervisors on Tuesday approved upgrading the county’s online services, including modeling its website after Los Angeles County, which broadcasts its meetings online.

San Bernardino County officials also intend to archive meeting videos; create a searchable database of board agenda items; and start an e-mail service that would send subscribers updates about county issues. The county is soliciting proposals for the services.

Supervisor Paul Biane also asked staff to research translating meetings into Spanish and posting transcripts, his office said.
