In the grand European tradition

Anyone already dreaming of a white Christmas may find it when the snow falls at this Big Bear estate.

Inspired by the grand manors along Lake Como in Italy, this mansion, which has 100 feet of lake frontage, is landscaped with trees and plants that change colors with the seasons. The lake and mountains can be seen even when taking a dip in the indoor pool and spa.

The house was completed in 2003 by its current owner in the old European country estate tradition; it has faux-finish painting, beveled wood floors, marble and granite counters.

The finishes and furnishings were custom-designed. This includes a bronze eagle statue on the lakefront lawn leading to the dock, which can house a 30-foot boat and two personal watercraft. All furnishings and a boat are included in the sale.
