Vote on County Power Project Is Delayed

Orange County supervisors on Tuesday postponed a vote on a power generation project to serve the Santa Ana Civic Center, saying they wanted to give the county’s financial advisory board a chance to review the proposal.
Supervisors said financing for the project needed to be examined in more detail, particularly whether debt repayments should be stretched over 20 years or a shorter period and whether savings from the project should be used to repay the debt.
