49ers Defeat No. 24 Trojans
Crystal McCutcheon scored 13 points off the bench as Long Beach State posted a 51-46 upset victory Wednesday over No. 24 USC at Long Beach.
Jeannie Saunders added 12 points and Meghan Griffith grabbed 12 rebounds for the 49ers (1-2).
Camille LeNoir scored 15 points off the bench for USC (2-1), which committed 21 turnovers.
No. 13 Notre Dame 74, Indiana 61 -- The Hoosiers (0-2) used a 15-4 run to take a 51-47 lead with 10:42 to play at Bloomington, Ind., but Megan Duffy and Charel Allen sparked a 6-0 run for the Irish (3-0). Duffy, who scored 26 points, then made two three-point baskets to extend the lead to 61-53.
Mississippi 72, No. 14 Texas Tech 69 -- Armintie Price had 23 points to lead the Rebels (3-0) past the Red Raiders (1-3) at Oxford, Miss.
No. 15 Stanford 89, Fresno State 67 -- Krista Rappahahn scored a career-high 18 points for the Cardinal (2-1) as it beat the Bulldogs (2-1).
