Loyola Marymount (1-1) at No. 25 Washington (5-0), 3:30 -- The Huskies are off to their best start in 15 years and lead the all-time series with the Lions, 3-1, including a 100-93 win on Dec. 12, 2004, at Loyola during the most recent meeting. Washington has a 53-17 record against current members of the West Coast Conference: Gonzaga (28-13), Loyola Marymount (3-1), Portland (10-1), St. Mary’s (6-0), San Diego (1-1) and Santa Clara (5-1).

UC Santa Barbara (2-0) at North Carolina (2-0), 5:30 PST -- The Gauchos’ game at North Carolina will be the program’s first game against an Atlantic Coast Conference opponent since March 18, 1988. The last time the Gauchos played an ACC team was in the first round of the 1988 NCAA tournament when they lost to Maryland, 92-82, in a game played at Cincinnati. The Gauchos were 2-13 in road games last season.

Northridge (2-0) vs. Northeastern (3-0), Berkeley, 5 -- Matador junior forward Mike Efevberha had 36 points in a victory over Tulsa. The Huskies, coming off Monday’s win over Lasell, are making their first appearance in the Golden Bear Classic holiday tournament.

WOMEN

No. 11 Georgia (2-1) vs. UCLA (0-2), 5, Loyola Marymount -- UCLA’s unexpected home loss against Brigham Young has the Bruins facing their first 0-3 start since the 2000-01 season. Compounding the situation -- UCLA has lost its last three meetings against the Bulldogs, the last one a 91-83 decision on Dec. 12, 2002. Georgia stumbled in its opener against defending champion Baylor but looked much steadier in wins over Santa Clara and Texas Christian. Sophomore forward Tasha Humphrey leads the Bulldogs in scoring (22.0).
