Ruling Fatah Party Cancels Primary Vote
From Times Wire Reports
The ruling Fatah party canceled its primary in the Gaza Strip after gunmen disrupted at least a dozen polling places, firing into the air and stealing ballot boxes.
Many voters found that their names were not on registration lists or that they had been registered at the wrong station.
Fatah faces a strong challenge from the Islamic militant group Hamas in the Jan. 25 parliamentary election.
