A Question on Quote’s Origins

In Sean Mitchell’s article on positive coaching (“How to Win All the Time,” Sept. 11), he wrongly attributes the quote “Winning isn’t everything, it’s the only thing” to Vince Lombardi. Although not everyone agrees on the quote’s origins, I’m sure that it goes back at least to college football coach Red Sanders.
