Stopping red-light violators
Re “Busway Test Run Gives Riders a Jolt,” Oct. 25
Cars running red lights is a problem that cannot be fixed with additional security. As we have seen with Metro Rail, cars even drive around gates. Running a red light is illegal and dangerous to others and should therefore be punished accordingly.
For running a red light, a driver should get his or her license revoked or suspended. That would make violators have to take public transportation and, because there are so many of them, this would be a great stride toward uncluttering L.A. traffic!
