Thankful for Carnival’s honesty

Share

AS my husband picked my son and me up from a recent cruise, I remembered that I had left the Movado watch he had given me for our 25th wedding anniversary in the ship’s safe. I screamed in fear.

I called Carnival and asked the cruise line to check the safe. It said the next guests had checked in and that company policy wouldn’t allow that. Carnival said I needed to make a report and get a claim number. I was irate.

I demanded to be connected to the guests in the room at $7 a minute, so I could ask them myself. Carnival refused and said that it trains staff to be honest and turn in all items. I hung up, frustrated and crying.

Four weeks went by and the doorbell rang. I saw a small box next to the planter and a delivery truck driving away. The watch was in perfect shape. Thank you, Carnival.
