Teacher Accused of Molestation Resigns
From Times Staff and Wire Reports
A Yuba City educator charged with child molestation has resigned, school district officials said Thursday.
Derek Link has pleaded not guilty to multiple counts of molesting two boys in 2002 and 2003. He remained in jail on $500,000 bail.
Sutter County Judge Chris Chandler declined to reduce Link’s bail at a court hearing Wednesday, noting that some of the charges allege that Link had continuous sexual contact with one of the boys.
