Robbery Suspect Kills Himself After Chase

A man suspected of robbing a Ralphs Supermarket in Diamond Bar shot himself to death on a freeway offramp in Orange County on Friday while fleeing Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies, authorities said.
The unidentified man robbed the market at Grand Avenue and Golden Springs Road about 3:30 p.m., Deputy Johnnie Jones said.
His car was spotted a short time later by deputies, who pursued him on the Corona Expressway and Riverside Freeway. Eventually, Jones said, the man pulled off on the Weir Canyon Road offramp in Yorba Linda and shot himself.
