The sweet life, with spray paint

Party at Dolce on Sunday night, as owners Lonnie Moore and Mike Boogie plan to celebrate their b-days with a b-boy house party. It figures to be old-school, with DJs blazing ‘80s hip-hop and graffiti artists painting the L.A. hotspot’s exterior (they will paint over it the next day).... Saints and Sinners is coming to Culver City. That’s the name of Bobby Green’s upcoming Venice Boulevard bar (at the former Sarna’s Lounge), slated to open in December. Green, who owns the Bigfoot Lodge, Lucky Tiki and the Bat Cave, is going back in time for his style cues. “It looks like a porn producer’s house from the ‘70s,” he says, “with a bit of James Bond tossed in.” ... Abbey owner David Cooley says he has partnered with SBE Entertainment (owners of Prey and Shelter) to take his West Hollywood club on the road. Cooley says Abbeys are planned in Vegas, Texas and Miami in the next five years.

Giving it up for the Gulf Coast

The Hollywood scene continues to kick down for Katrina victims. On Tuesday, the Cabana Club teamed with Ed Hardy clothing designer Christian Audigier to raise money for the American Red Cross. Tonight, Monroe’s bar on Melrose is hosting a Red Cross fundraiser with DJ Mike B. Also set for tonight is Afro Funke Relief at Zanzibar in Santa Monica, with DJs Cut Chemist of Jurassic 5, J Rocc of the Beat Junkies, Jeremy Sole’s Musaics and host Rocky Dawuni. Proceeds are earmarked for the New Orleans Musicians Clinic and other Louisiana charities.... And on Sunday, the Sunset Strip gets down for the Red Cross with Rock ‘n’ Roll Relief, a joint effort by the Key Club and Jaxx. Scheduled performers include INXS with Dave Navarro, Keith Emerson, Slash and Sean Lennon. More benefits are upcoming; stay tuned.
