Accidents Kill 3 During Reno Motorcycle Festival
Three motorcyclists have been killed in traffic accidents during the annual Street Vibrations motorcycle festival in Reno, authorities said.
Nevada Highway Patrol Sgt. John Schilling said tow truck operators have responded to 35 other motorcycle accidents resulting in minor to moderate injuries.
The five-day gathering ends Sunday after drawing about 40,000 motorcycle enthusiasts.
Motorcyclists were killed Friday on the Mount Rose Highway just southwest of Reno, on U.S. 50 near Lake Tahoe’s east shore and on Highway 88 south of Minden, troopers said.
