THE Jaisalmer Fort rises 250 feet above the Thar Desert in northwestern Rajasthan, India. When Martin Voet climbed to the top of one of its many bastions in February, he found this young man. Voet, a patent attorney from San Jan Capistrano, used a Nikon D70 to photograph the young man singing and dancing for tips but preferred this tighter portrait. “I liked the colors and his expression,” Voet said. “The boy was obviously having a good time.”
