Governor Signs Ban on Much Indoor Smoking
From Times Wire Reports
Gov. Mike Huckabee signed into law a ban on smoking in most indoor public places.
Violators can be fined up to $500.
“There’s probably some crying towels being passed out in the tobacco industry today,” joked the Republican governor, a nonsmoker.
The law includes exemptions for nursing homes, small hotels, tobacco shops, and some small or home-based businesses.
