The Defense Department last week identified the following American military personnel killed in Iraq:

Andres Aguilar Jr., 21, of Victoria, Texas; corporal, Marine Corps. Aguilar was among six Marines killed April 2 when the 7-ton truck they were riding in overturned in a flash flood near Al Asad, west of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, 3rd Marine Expeditionary Force at Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii.

David A. Bass, 20, of Nashville; corporal, Marine Corps. Bass was among six Marines killed April 2 when the 7-ton truck they were riding in overturned in a flash flood near Al Asad, west of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Marine Logistics Group, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Pendleton.

Jacob W. Beisel, 21, of Lackawaxen, Pa.; lance corporal, Marine Corps. Beisel was killed in combat March 31 in Al Anbar province, west of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Darrell P. Clay, 34, of Fayetteville, N.C.; staff sergeant, Army. Clay was one of two soldiers killed April 1 when a makeshift bomb exploded near them while on foot patrol in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 6th Infantry, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division in Baumholder, Germany.

Israel Devora Garcia, 23, of Clint, Texas; sergeant, Army. Devora Garcia was one of two soldiers killed April 1 when a makeshift bomb exploded near them while on foot patrol in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 6th Infantry, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division in Baumholder, Germany.

Joseph J. Duenas, 23, of Mesa, Ariz.; private first class, Army. Duenas was killed March 30 when he fell from a helicopter that was landing after a nighttime combat operation in Kirkuk province, north of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 327th Infantry, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) at Ft. Campbell, Ky.

Chase A. Edwards, 19, of Lake Charles, La.; private first class, Marine Corps. Edwards was killed Thursday when a roadside bomb exploded near the Humvee he was driving while on patrol in Al Anbar province, west of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Jeremy W. Ehle, 19, of Richmond, Va.; private first class, Army. Ehle was killed April 2 when his unit was attacked with small-arms fire while on foot patrol in Hit, west of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 36th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade, 1st Armored Division in Friedberg, Germany.

Patrick J. Gallagher, 27, of Jacksonville, Fla.; lance corporal, Marine Corps. Gallagher was among six Marines killed April 2 when the 7-ton truck they were riding in overturned in a flash flood near Al Asad, west of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Marine Logistics Group, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Pendleton.

Dustin J. Harris, 21, of Bangor, Maine; specialist, Army. Harris was killed Thursday when a roadside bomb exploded near him while on foot patrol in Baiji, north of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 172nd Brigade Support Battalion, 172nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) at Ft. Wainwright, Alaska.

Michael L. Hartwick, 37, of Orrick, Mo.; chief warrant officer, Army. Hartwick was one of two soldiers killed April 1 when their Apache Longbow helicopter crashed while on combat air patrol near Youssifiya, southwest of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 4th Battalion, 4th Aviation Brigade, 4th Infantry Division at Ft. Hood, Texas.

Robert Hernandez, 47, of Silver Springs, Md.; staff sergeant, Army Reserve. Hernandez was killed March 28 when a roadside bomb exploded near his armored Humvee near Taqaddum, west of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 318th Regiment, 1st Brigade, 80th Division (Institutional Training), Army Reserve at Ft. Meade, Md.

Ty J. Johnson, 28, of Elk Grove, Calif.; specialist, Army. Johnson was killed Tuesday when a roadside bomb exploded near his armored Humvee in Kirkuk, north of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 320th Field Artillery Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) at Ft. Campbell, Ky.

Kun Y. Kim, 20, of Atlanta; lance corporal, Marine Corps. Kim was among three Marines killed April 2 when a roadside bomb exploded near their Humvee in Al Anbar province, west of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Eric A. McIntosh, 29, of Trafford, Pa.; staff sergeant, Marine Corps. McIntosh was among three Marines killed April 2 when a roadside bomb exploded near their Humvee in Al Anbar province, west of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Timothy J. Moshier, 25, of Albany, N.Y.; captain, Army. Moshier was one of two soldiers killed April 1 when their Apache Longbow helicopter crashed while on combat air patrol near Youssifiya, southwest of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 4th Battalion, 4th Aviation Brigade, 4th Infantry Division at Ft. Hood, Texas.

Geovani Padilla Aleman, 20, of South Gate; hospitalman, Navy. Padilla Aleman was killed in action April 2 in Al Anbar province, west of Baghdad. He was permanently assigned to Bethesda Naval Hospital, U.S. Naval Service Comfort Detachment, and operationally assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2/28 Brigade Combat Team.

Scott J. Procopio, 20, of Saugus, Mass.; corporal, Marine Corps. Procopio was among three Marines killed April 2 when a roadside bomb exploded near their Humvee in Al Anbar province, west of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Brian R. St. Germain, 22, of Warwick, R.I.; corporal, Marine Corps. St. Germain was among six Marines killed April 2 when the 7-ton truck they were riding in overturned in a flash flood near Al Asad, west of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Marine Logistics Group, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Pendleton.

Felipe D. Sandoval-Flores, 20, of Los Angeles; lance corporal, Marine Corps. Sandoval-Flores was among six Marines killed April 2 when the 7-ton truck they were riding in overturned in a flash flood near Al Asad, west of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Marine Logistics Group, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Pendleton.

Daniel L. Sesker, 22, of Ogden, Iowa; specialist, Army National Guard. Sesker was killed Thursday when a roadside bomb exploded near his armored Humvee in Baiji, north of Baghdad. He was assigned to Troop C, 1st Squadron, 113th Cavalry, Army National Guard in LeMars, Iowa.

Abraham G. Twitchell, 28, of Yelm, Wash.; staff sergeant, Marine Corps. Twitchell was among six Marines killed April 2 when the 7-ton truck they were riding in overturned in a flash flood near Al Asad, west of Baghdad. He was assigned to the Combat Service Support Group 1, 1st Marine Logistics Group, 1st Marine Expeditionary Force in Twentynine Palms, Calif.
