From Bloomberg News

Burst.com Inc., a provider of software for broadcasting audio and video over the Internet, said in a lawsuit that Apple Computer Inc. was using its patented technology in iPod music players and the iTunes Music Store.

Burst.com said it filed a patent suit against Cupertino, Calif.-based Apple in response to a complaint filed by Apple in January that asked a judge to rule that it didn’t infringe Burst.com’s patents for high-speed Internet broadcasting of sound and video.

Burst.com, based in Santa Rosa, Calif., settled a similar dispute with Microsoft Corp. last year, with Microsoft agreeing to pay $60 million.
