5 U.S. Soldiers Killed in Iraq

BAGHDAD — Two roadside bomb attacks killed five U.S. soldiers south of the capital on Saturday, the U.S. military in Iraq said.
Four died when their combat patrol south of Baghdad was hit by a bomb, the military said in a statement.
A fifth soldier died Saturday night after a separate attack, a military spokeswoman said.
No further details were available. At least 2,388 members of the U.S. military have died since the war began, according to an Associated Press count.
