Dog Sinks His Teeth Into Precious Teddy Bears
A guard dog ripped apart a costly collection of rare teddy bears, including one once owned by Elvis Presley, in a rampage at a British children’s museum.
“He just went berserk,” said Daniel Medley, general manager of Wookey Hole Caves near Wells, England, where hundreds of bears were mauled by the 6-year-old Doberman pinscher named Barney. The collection was valued at more than $900,000.
Barney ripped the head off Mabel, a brown 1909 bear once owned by the young Presley, leaving fluffy stuffing and bits of its limbs on the museum floor.
A security guard chased the dog for several minutes and finally wrestled him to the ground.
