Where Friday night’s a Deux-sy

Joaquin Phoenix was the first guy in the building on opening night, and it’s been building ever since. That was four weeks ago, and now Fridays at Les Deux Cafe are so hot the steam’s still rising Saturday mornings. To wit, Christina Aguilera took over the top floor with friends last Friday and was shaking her stuff in the Hollywood nightclub’s balcony. Powering the new Dolce group venue is DJ Frankie Inglese. The New York DJ is flown in by promoters Hartwell and Josh Richman every Friday for his East Coast stylings.... We hear Hartwell- and Richman-promoted Wednesday nights at Mood in Hollywood are where Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo have been holing up.... Also seen on the scene at Mood on Wednesday: Jamie Foxx, Janet Jackson, Jermaine Dupri and Bubba Sparxxx....And speaking of rapper Sparxxx, you can catch him performing Sunday at the Lowrider Nationals Summer Slam at the Kern County Fairgrounds in Bakersfield.... Aguilera also danced to a hot mix by DJ Splyce at Red Buddha on Thursday, with such junior celebrities as Andy Milonakis, Ryan Cabrera and Aguilera’s hubby, Jordan Bratman, on hand.

Putting on a glamorous face

The Alliance hosted Monday’s Victoria’s Secret gala at the Tropicana at the Roosevelt Hotel. The event, tossed to launch the lingerie company’s Very Sexy makeup, brought out such glamazons as Heidi Klum, Alessandra Ambrosio and Karolina Kurkova, who were joined by mortals Orlando Jones, Nicky Hilton, Jeremy Piven and the Simpson sisters....The Alliance has handpicked a pretty sweet selection of promoters for its Tropicana shenanigans. On Sunday, Kevin Todd’s afternoon pool party is bringing out all the babes in Pucci dresses. And Kelly Cole (who owns the boutique-gallery Lo-Fi on Melrose) hosts a hipster Wednesday scene.... So what do club owners do when Nicole Richie loses her cellphone? They turn on the lights and shut down the fun. At least that’s what happened at Guy’s on Beverly on a recent karaoke Tuesday. When the celebutante discovered her cellphone missing, management wouldn’t let anyone in or out until the item was retrieved. In a case of “all’s well that ends well,” it was found tucked away in a VIP booth. Celebrity, it has its privileges.

DJ AM and Travis Barker are rockin’ Avalon tonight for some pre-X Games fun.... The 2006 “Mods & Rockers” film festival at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood on Saturday includes a chat with author Michael Walker about his book, “Laurel Canyon: The Inside Story of Rock-and-Roll’s Legendary Neighborhood.” The book chronicles the romantic and artistic lives of ‘70s rock icons.... Shindig at Spago in Beverly Hills next Thursday, as jewelry designer Ashley Paulina hosts a trunk show benefiting L.A.’s Violence Intervention Program.... Save the date: On Aug. 27, actress Tippi Hedren is hosting a gala at the Magic Castle in Hollywood. The event is a fundraiser for the Roar Foundation, which benefits wild animals at her Shambala Preserve in Acton.... The new hip-hop club Wild Style makes its debut tonight at Holly’s in Hollywood. We hear Tone Loc’s on the list.
