Too much sugar bad for industry

Share

There is a gushy article by Kevin Bronson about the latest flavor-of-the-minute band, a syrupy pop group named Blackout composed of 11- and 12-year-olds [“This Pop Band Is Hitting a Growth Spurt,” July 27]. (Is that what people with already high blood sugar levels do when they hear them?) On the same page is another article headlined “Music Sales Hit New Low Since 1994.”

Is this juxtaposition of the two articles intentional and due to the editor’s finely honed sense of irony or is it that he or she is simply not familiar at all with the concept of causality?
