Only one Marilyn

RE “Giving More Life to Marilyn?,” by Robert W. Welkos, Aug. 2: It’s abundantly clear Sherrie Lee Laird sought out a practitioner who would believe her conviction of reincarnation as a quid pro quo.

She found one in Adrian Finkelstein, who is now quite shamelessly orchestrating a PR campaign surrounding the anniversary of Marilyn Monroe’s death. It is revolting and depressing, even for someone like me who is not particularly enamored of Monroe or her memory.

It is preposterous that a prominent paper like The Times would help lend credence to, and ultimately support, this kind of crackpot enterprise.
