Late summer and fall rates at Maui’s luxurious Grand Wailea Resort Hotel & Spa aren’t exactly bargain basement, but they’re still a good deal.

From Sept. 1 to Dec. 15, terrace rooms, usually $495 a night, will be $347. Other discounted accommodations: deluxe garden rooms, usually $675 a night, for $405; ocean king, normally $750 a night, for $450; and Alii suites, usually $1,700 a night, for $1,020.
