Re “Settlements? You be the judge,” Current, Dec. 3
The Los Angeles City Council, elected by taxpayers to uphold the public interest, has failed miserably in the stewardship of public assets. The recent billboard fiasco could be added to the list.
Taxpayers should demand change. Placing settlements in the hands of the courts would at least allow public input before using taxpayer funds to resolve questionable settlements.
