‘Nut’ with his cereal

WHAT a wonderful supplement to Tchaikovsky’s “Nutcracker” was the featured piece on the Arabian Dance as interpreted and costumed by several different companies [“ ‘Nutcracker’ Standard Has 1,001 Versions,” Dec. 10]. Prikrasne! (Russian for “wonderful!”) Getting to see the picture illustrations with the excellent explanation was a real treat.

I think one has a greater appreciation of the final product when one gets the insights of the presentation’s history that evolved into the final presentation -- you get a big thumbs up from this chorus boy! It certainly made for a nice way to finish off my bowl of Cheerios.
