Here’s a stretch for full-body renewal

Here is a terrific move to safely strengthen your back, butt and the backs of your thighs all at the same time. Remember to perform this exercise in a slow, controlled manner with no swinging or jerking. Do it consistently and you will quickly feel stronger.

1) Lie face down on a padded surface or a mat. Extend your arms in front of you with palms facing inward. On an inhale, slowly raise your arms and legs several inches off the ground. Pause for a moment in this position while you exhale.

2) On the next inhale, sweep your arms around to the side and reach back, bending your knees. Raise your chest a little higher and try to tap your ankles with your fingertips. Pause a moment in this position while you exhale. To release, straighten your legs and circle your arms in front of you as you lower your body. Repeat eight to 10 times.
