Who could he be talking about?
I’m still doubled over in laughter from Kobe Bryant’s comments regarding Gilbert Arenas. Kobe is quoted as saying, “He doesn’t seem to have much of a conscience. I haven’t gotten used to that mentality of just chucking it up there.”
Please tell me Kobe winked at the reporters when he made those comments. I can’t believe he didn’t realize that he’d just described himself.
The faster the Clippers trade Corey Maggette, the better. He is a one-dimensional slasher and could not play team defense if his life depended on it. Maggette says, “Coach doesn’t respect what I do. If that’s the case, it might be time for me to go.”
That’s right Corey, Coach expects his guys to play team basketball, what you “do” is complain incessantly, throw up outside shots and dribble the ball off your knee out of bounds in the fourth quarter.
Denver is abuzz with the notion that two of the NBA’s top scorers are now on the same team. Well, the Lakers had not two but four future Hall of Famers on the same team. Unless there’s a new rule that multiplies the number of basketballs used in a game, welcome to your own soap opera, Nuggets fans.
Iverson won’t cut his scoring to 19, and Carmelo Anthony won’t take kindly to having to share “his” team.
In Los Angeles, we’ve been there, bought the snow globe.
