New Surgery as Sharon Worsens

JERUSALEM —
The condition of Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has worsened and he was scheduled to undergo surgery today for digestive complications, Hadassah hospital said.
It said his digestive tract had been seriously damaged but did not elaborate.
Sharon suffered a severe stroke on Jan. 4 and has been unconscious since then.
