Matthew L. Bertolino, 20, of Hampstead, N.H.; private first class, Marine Corps. Bertolino was killed Thursday when his Humvee rolled over during a combat patrol near Jalalabad in eastern Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division, 3rd Marine Expeditionary Force in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii.

Jeremiah J. Boehmer, 22, of Parkston, S.D.; sergeant, Army. Boehmer was one of two soldiers killed Feb. 5 when an improvised explosive device detonated near their Stryker vehicle in Husseiniya, Iraq, northeast of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 562nd Engineer Company, 172nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team at Ft. Wainwright, Alaska.

Lance S. Cornett, 33, of London, Ky.; sergeant first class, Army. Cornett was killed Feb. 3 during a firefight with insurgents in the vicinity of Ramadi, Iraq, west of Baghdad. He was assigned to the Army Special Operations Command at Ft. Bragg, N.C.

Simon T. Cox Jr., 30, of Mesquite, Texas; first lieutenant, Army. Cox was killed Feb. 2 when an improvised explosive device detonated near his Bradley fighting vehicle in Taji, Iraq, north of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 66th Armored Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division at Ft. Hood, Texas.

John T. Fralish, 30, of New Kingstown, Pa.; petty officer third class, Navy. Fralish was shot to death Monday when enemy forces opened fire on a U.S. patrol northwest of Methar Lam in Laghman Province, Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 3rd Marine Division Detachment, Marine Corps Base Hawaii in Kaneohe, Hawaii.

Orville Gerena, 21, of Virginia Beach, Va.; corporal, Marine Corps. Gerena was one of two Marines killed Monday when an improvised explosive device detonated near them during combat in Hit, Iraq, on the Euphrates River. He was assigned to the Battalion Landing Team, 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune, N.C.

William S. Hayes III, 23, of St. Tammany, La.; specialist, Army. Hayes died of a noncombatrelated injury Feb. 5 in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division at Ft. Hood, Texas.

Patrick W. Herried, 29, of Sioux Falls, S.D.; specialist, Army. Herried was killed Monday when an improvised explosive device detonated near his Stryker vehicle while on patrol in Rawah, Iraq, near the Syrian border. He was assigned to the 4th Squadron, 14th Cavalry Regiment, 172nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team at Ft. Wainwright, Alaska.

Allen D. Kokesh Jr., 21, of Yankton, S.D.; specialist, Army National Guard. Kokesh died Tuesday at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio of injuries suffered Dec. 4 when an improvised explosive device detonated near his Humvee in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 147th Field Artillery, Army National Guard in Yankton.

Roberto L. Martinez Salazar, 21, of Long Beach; specialist, Army. Martinez Salazar was killed Feb. 4 when an improvised explosive device detonated near his armored Humvee while on patrol in Mosul, Iraq. He was assigned to Company A, 14th Engineer Battalion, 555th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade at Ft. Lewis, Wash.

Sergio A. Mercedes Saez, 23, of New York; specialist, Army. Mercedes Saez was killed Feb. 5 when his Humvee rolled over into a canal in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division at Ft. Campbell, Ky.

Christopher R. Morningstar, 27, of San Antonio; staff sergeant, Army. Morningstar was one of two soldiers killed Feb. 5 when an improvised explosive device detonated near their Stryker vehicle in Husseiniya, Iraq, northeast of Baghdad. He was assigned to the 562nd Engineer Company, 172nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team at Ft. Wainwright, Alaska.

David S. Parr, 22, of Benson, N.C.; lance corporal, Marine Corps. Parr was one of two Marines killed Monday when an improvised explosive device detonated near them during combat in Hit, Iraq, on the Euphrates River. He was assigned to the Battalion Landing Team, 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Steven L. Phillips, 27, of Chesapeake, Va.; lance corporal, Marine Corps. Phillips was killed Tuesday in a nonhostile vehicle accident in Qaim, Iraq, near the Syrian border. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Brandon S. Schuck, 21, of Safford, Ariz.; corporal, Marine Corps. Schuck was killed Monday when an improvised explosive device detonated near him during combat in Baghdad. He was assigned to the 8th Engineer Support Battalion, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, 2nd Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Jesse M. Zamora, 22, of Las Cruces, N.M.; specialist, Army. Zamora was killed Feb. 3 when an improvised explosive device detonated near his Humvee in Bayji, Iraq, south of Mosul. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 187th Infantry, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division at Ft. Campbell, Ky.
