Two Egyptians Killed as Militants Break Barrier

From Times Wire Reports

Hundreds of angry Palestinians streamed from the Gaza Strip town of Rafah into Egypt after militants with stolen bulldozers broke through a border wall. Two Egyptian troops were shot to death and 30 wounded.

About 3,000 Egyptian Interior Ministry troops who initially had no orders to open fire swarmed the border but were forced to pull back, said Lt. Sameh Antablyan, who announced the casualties.

Another official, Gen. Essam Sheik, said Egyptian forces later began firing back.
