From Times Wire Reports

Family and friends gathered at a candlelight vigil in Longwood to mourn Christopher Penley, 15, who died two days after he was shot during a confrontation with police at his middle school.

Penley was shot when he brandished a pellet gun that closely resembled a handgun.

He had been clinically brain dead but was kept alive so his organs could be harvested, the family’s lawyer said.
