Princeton Dean Named Head of Harvey Mudd

Maria Klawe, dean of Princeton University’s School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, has been named president of Harvey Mudd College, the Claremont school known for its science, math and engineering programs.
Klawe, 54, will begin her duties at the 700-student campus July 1.
She will succeed Jon C. Strauss, who plans to retire.
