30-Year Mortgage Rates Decline Again, to 6.10%

Average rates on 30-year fixed-rate mortgages dipped to 6.10% this week, down from 6.15% last week and 6.21% the week before that, mortgage company Freddie Mac said.
Rates on 15-year fixed-rate mortgages, a popular choice for refinancing a mortgage, averaged 5.67%, down from 5.71% last week. One-year adjustable-rate mortgages edged up to 5.18%, compared with 5.15% last week. Rates on five-year hybrid adjustable-rate mortgages fell to 5.75%, down slightly from 5.76%.
The averages for mortgage rates do not include add-on fees known as points. The 30-year and 15-year mortgages carried a nationwide average fee of 0.5 point. The one-year and five-year adjustable-rate mortgages carried an average fee of 0.6 point.
