Free Advice on College Financial Aid Available

High school students and their families can receive free advice about financial aid for college at 32 locations Saturday. The “Cash for College” workshops will walk families though the process of applying for aid, such as meeting the March 2 deadline for Cal Grants.
Most of the sites -- at schools, churches and youth centers -- will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., but several will close earlier.
Participants should bring most recent family tax returns, W-2 forms, pay stubs, and bank and investment statements. To find locations and hours, go to www.lacashforcollege.org or call (866) 476-8787.
