Lesson from Earl
THE latest cult American TV import here in England is “My Name Is Earl,” in which our hero is a selfish but lovable rogue desperately attempting to balance his “bad karma” by making amends to each of the 200 victims on his list.
The program is a comedy, but is it too much to hope that many more criminals, warmongers, corporate fat cats and corrupt politicians will one day become serious fans of the concept?
