Driver to Pay Thousands for Tolls She Ignored
From Times Wire Reports
A driver who racked up about $76,000 in charges for cruising past toll booths without paying has pleaded no contest in Dallas to three misdemeanor citations.
Evangelina Gonzalez, 41, agreed to pay one-tenth of the total toll chares, about $7,600.
“It was more than fair,” said Gonzalez’s attorney, Michael Stephens.
Tollway authorities said Gonzalez drove past the toll booths about 3,000 times without paying from June 2003 to November 2005.
