Reign of Twain

PLEASE don’t insult Shania [Twain] in your review of a little country act like Gretchen Wilson [“A Country All Her Own,” Jan. 22].

Shania is a worldwide icon who stormed through Nashville and dominated it like no other artist ever. Shania has eclipsed Nashville and is a worldwide icon and a brand name worldwide.

Nobody told Shania how to act. She created her own image and wrote her own songs and did her own thing in her own way, despite Nashville hatred and snubbing.

So get your facts straight, Shania is the biggest thing ever to hit Nashville. She is one of music’s elite.

Oh, and by the way, it seems that Wilson’s modest 15 minutes of fame are up, judging by her sales.
