Milwaukee 10, at San Francisco 1: Bill Hall hit a three-run homer and Mike Rivera added a two-run shot for the Brewers. Carlos Lee doubled twice, drove in a run and scored for Milwaukee, which won consecutive road games for the first time since June 26-27 against the Chicago Cubs. Prince Fielder had three hits and the Brewers scored 10 or more runs in consecutive games for the first time since 2003.

at Pittsburgh 3, Colorado 1: Freddy Sanchez’s run-scoring double in the eighth inning gave the Pirates the lead and they went on to hand the Rockies their eighth consecutive loss. Sanchez and Jack Wilson, who scored on the double, both had two hits for the Pirates, who have won three of four since the All-Star break. The Rockies’ Clint Barmes homered in the third, his third home run in his last six games.

at Florida 4, Washington 2: Ricky Nolasco (7-6) gave up one earned run over seven innings and drove in two runs in the Marlins’ victory. Tony Armas Jr. (6-5) of the Nationals gave up four runs and five hits in five innings in his first start since coming off the disabled list.
