SPARKS TONIGHT

Share

at San Antonio, 5 PDT

Site -- AT&T; Center.

Radio -- 1150 (delayed, 7).

Records -- Sparks 21-6, Silver Stars 11-13.

Record vs. Silver Stars -- 2-1.

Update -- Joe Bryant will certainly get votes for WNBA coach of the year. But so should San Antonio Coach Dan Hughes. The Silver Stars may be in sixth place, but they have been competitive all season and are two games out of the final playoff slot in the Western Conference. Still, the mystery remains why the Silver Stars are 7-6 on the road and 4-7 at home. And San Antonio got a bad break Friday when 6-foot-6 center Chantelle Anderson suffered a broken left kneecap. The Silver Stars, who have lost their last two games, are down to nine healthy players. But one of them is guard Agnieszka Bibrzycka, who torched the Sparks for a season-high 23 points the last time the teams met on July 3. San Antonio won that game, 85-63.
